While on a walk around the Clemson University campus I noticed someone had placed a mask on The Tiger statue outside of the Clemson Memorial Football stadium. The Tiger donning his mask still had the same enthusiasm and optimism even during these uncertain times, his hand proudly raised showing that Clemson is still number one. The mask has come to symbolize the year 2020 in a way we will all remember for years to come. It felt like the perfect reflection of all that 2020 has become.
Although we don’t know what football season will end up looking like for fans, we can still show our love and Tiger Pride for our favorite team.
Do you have a college student in your life that is celebrating from a distance, or maybe they’re back on campus and could use a little Christmas cheer or the fan who loves their Clemson Tigers? This ornament is the perfect addition to your Clemson themed Christmas Tree.
All of the artwork is hand-painted by me, a Clemson Alumna and tiger fan, using acrylic paint. I draw each tiger on the ornament and then add all of the details by hand. I then use a special gloss to make the tiger the focal piece of the ornament.
Each ornament is created using a flat wooded blank measuring approximately 3 inches across by 2cm thick. Some variations do exist as each ornament is individually painted by hand.
